Hubby and I have loved this band called Shinedown for ages and they are a US band that has never been to Oz. We said if they ever do we are going no matter what and the time finally came! It was at the Espy Pub at St Kilda near the city. So we organised my brother to watch the kids from 6pm-9pm (he is a radio announcer and is on air from 6am!) and then a lovely friend came around and slept on our couch so we could stay out late. So all dressed up and ate out at the pub for dinner and it was well and truly worth it. It was just, speechless. I spent wayyy too much money on a couple of t-shirts and a CD that I waited around to get signed, again worth the wait! They are planning on coming back again at the end of the year and I am so there for that too. hehe Was so nice to get out with hubby and out of the house too. Need to do it more often. Ended up home around 1am and then chatting till around 2am.
